Our home renovation…so far

We’ve started working on our home! Well, a little bit of us and a lot bit of our contractor and his team. It’s a huge amount of demolition, but it only took them two days. We had to transplant some of the little flowers in the front beds quickly before the bulldozer showed up. I should have figured not much would survive the demo, but I’m still a little surprised by the aftermath. We had a company clear out the old insulation and debris from the crawl space last week. The guys that will dig out all the loose dirt down there will come tomorrow. And then….drum roll…the house should get lifted next week! We are so excited. I’ve been noticing the unevenness more and more – hopefully because it’s getting close to being gone. Once the house is lifted, they’re going to put a wrap around porch on the exterior, closing in the side porch to make a mudroom. And we can start hanging shelves without fearing things will slide right off! Updates to come!

Very impressive! Seeing the porch roofs just hanging with thin supports makes me nervous but I know that you have pros working for you. If he is good enough for Sherwin and Bob, I am sure your contractor is top notch. Keep the photos coming.

That looks like hard work! “They probably need a new foundation,”said Grandma Liz! “Really!” I said surprised. “Yep,”said Grandma seriously. “Grandma and I can hardly wait to see it!”I said “And I can not wait to see the little chickens also!” “Good luck on the house repair” said Grandma “And the chickens!”I said. “We do not repair chickens Nathan”said Grandma confused. “Oh” I said. “Bye Cat and Chris” we both said. THE END
